Give the Gift of Food and Friendship

Many older adults in Chicago struggle to get the food they need. Rising grocery prices, limited mobility, and changes in benefits like SNAP make it hard for many to keep their pantries stocked. LBFE volunteers deliver Food Bags filled with vital nutrition, personalized goodies, and a friendly visit, so no one has to face the challenge of food insecurity alone.

  • How Your Gift Makes a Difference

LBFE Food Bags include fresh food, pantry staples, frozen items, pet food, and small personal touches that make each delivery feel special. Volunteers do more than drop groceries at the door. They check in, form relationships, and make sure older adults know they are not alone.
